Riviera Maya

Riviera Maya Map

The Riviera Maya is a paradise for those seeking the infinite beauty of the Caribbean Sea without the fast pace of Cancun. A quiet, romantic getaway; tours of ancient Mayan ruins; a ferry ride to Cozumel; or explorations through national parks, the Riviera Maya offers you an opportunity to experience nature and history. Just south of Cancun, and an hour drive from the airport, the Riviera Maya offers a “laid-back” vacation experience.

Bahia Petempich to Punta Bete

Punta Brava is a solitary stretch of white sand beach where you will experience unparalleled peace and tranquility in a nature lover’s paradise.

Today Puertos Morelos is known for its low-key lodging and seafood restaurants. Its beaches are uncrowded and the section of the Great Maya Reef lying offshore has just been declared a national park.

Playa Del Carmen, Playacar

Playa del Carmen is the largest town in the Riviera Maya. The town is filled with handicraft stores, sidewalk cafes, international cuisine and the flair of Caribbean music.

Just a short five-minute drive south of Playa del Carmen, Playacar was built to provide comfort within a tropical paradise.

Its location is perfect for those who love to explore. Xcaret, Xel-Ha and Tulum are all within a short driving distance for a day packed with adventure. Xcaret is an exceptional eco-archaeological park filled with underground rivers, diving, snorkeling, a coral reef and lagoons, just to name a few. Perhaps you’ll enjoy the natural aquarium at Xel-Ha. One of the most delightful spots in the Riviera Maya, Xel-Ha is surrounded by a thick jungle and caves, perfect for exploration.

Puerto Aventuras to Tulum

Puerto Aventuras is a charming village 20-minutes south of Playa del Carmen in the Riviera Maya. The first resort settlement built south of Cancun, the center of town is a marina filled with boats and surrounded by restaurants, coffee shops, handicraft stores and bakeries.

Just 10 minutes south of Puerto Aventuras is Akumal, very diversified and known for its ecological center, Ukani-I – perfect for the seeking rest and tranquility.

Kantenah, a lovely beach located just north of Tulum, is home to the secluded El Dorado Seaside Suites.

The ancient Maya port of Tulum is a two-hour drive from Cancun. Tulum’s greatest attraction is its location. On a bluff facing the rising sun, these sixty buildings surrounded by hug walls make up the most important archaeological site on the Quintana Roo coast.
