St. Vincents & The Grenadines

St. Vincent and The Grenadines

Fantastic diving, spectacular sailing, perfect beaches, fascinating history, friendly people and no crowds – St. Vincent & The Grenadines invites you to spend some quality time in paradise!

There’s a lot to like about St. Vincent & The Grenadines – a whole lot.

Start with the endless sunshine, clear blue skies, and temperatures that average 80 degrees year-round – which only enhance the stunning range of tropical beauty you’ll find on this collection of 32 separate islands, most of them uninhabited. Tranquil valleys and clear streams are flanked by majestic mountain peaks, including an active volcano. There are no less than 65 cascading waterfalls amid the lush rainforest, and some of the smaller islands are de facto bird sanctuaries.

The capital city of Kingstown has preserved its cobblerstone walkways, 19th-century buildings, and bustling marketplace filled with a vast array of colorful tropical fruits and vegetables. The historic Botanic Gardens – the oldest in the Americas – contains the offspring of Captain Bligh’s original breadfruit tree of Mutiny on the Bounty fame.

Just outside town, Fort Charlotte displays the original cannons and barracks from the days when the British tried to wrest control of the islands from the French and Caribs. At its elevation of 600 feet, there is a commanding view over the sea and the whole south side of St. Vincent.

Full of natural beauty, tranquility, and privacy, Mustique is a private island (actually on a long-term lease from the government) that has become a harbor for the rich, famous, and royal. Crescent-shaped Canouan is popular with scuba divers, thanks to the corral that surrounds it.

Try on these “Jewels of the Caribbean” – they’ll look good on you!
